The Bomba Lima Institutional Medal " Antonio Alarco Espinoza Order" , is the highest decoration of our company. It was created by the Resolution of Jefatura as "Institutional Insignia Medal of the Lima Bomb" (Blue Ribbon) during the management of Commander Miguel Rojas Mazzetti (2002).
After the time, in the year 2006 and at the request of the Chairman of the Committee of the 140th Anniversary of the Lima Brigadier General CBP. Tulio Nicolini Ayarza, former General Commander of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru and former Head of the Lima Bomb, changed the name and added the one of: "Bomba Lima Institutional Medal: Antonio Alarco Espinoza Order" (Blue ribbon with red central stripe ) in homage to our exalted Hero.
This medal is a re-activation of the ancient medal "Antonio Alarco", also the highest decoration of the Lima Bomba when it was known as Lima No. 1 (1868 - 1912) and Lima No. 3. (1912 - 1977).
The medal has as a sublime goal, to distinguish Institutions, individuals and legal entities that are benefactors of the company, as well as people of a proven patriotic civic activity, highly distinguished services for civilians and firefighters and heroic action in the performance of the service of the firefighter. For its granting, the case is filed with a rating board where the company commander is the Chancellor of the Order.
The Benemérito de la Patria Juan Antonio Alarco Espinoza, founder of the Bomba Lima, was killed by the Homeland in the "Torre de la Merced" Battery during the Glorious Naval Combat of the First Hero of the General Staff of Volunteer Firemen of Peru.
